Volunteering at Local Schools!

With the beginning of the school year approaching, Wheat’s Landscape was contacted by Chesterbrook Elementary in regard to their over grown landscape. Mike Wheat met with staff members and came up with a plan to simplify, clean up and improve the landscape. Our crews volunteered several days in August pruning, removing weeds, and dead shrubs. We edged all the beds and donated hardwood mulch to dress up the bed and tree areas. Wheat’s also plans to visit the property on a bimonthly basis in an effort to keep the landscape looking great all year.

Pimmit Center, an alternative High School located in Falls Church, is another school that we have extended a helping hand to this summer. With no PTAor Booster Club to raise money for school projects, their landscape suffers. Every year Wheat’s volunteers time and materials to weed, edge, prune and mulch all the shrub beds around the school.

This is just one way Wheat’s Landscape tries to help within the community. Wheat’s is currently active with sponsorships, auctions, fundraisers, volunteer services, walks and many more events in our community.
