Internship & Externship Opportunities

The Wheat's Landscape Future Leaders Program is designed to help individuals meet their personal and professional career goals. Both our internship program and externship program provide an environment that encourages education, training, and team building skills in order to promote professional growth, development, and leadership in the Green Industry.

Internships

We believe that an internship program should expose individuals to all facets of our business and further develop our organization's culture. Our flexible paid ten-week internship program offers hands-on experience in the areas of customer service, management, contract administration, sales, landscape design and production. You will experience a highly flexible learning program in each of our service areas that may be customized to fit your educational needs, professional interests, and personal goals.

Externships

Our externship program further expands our network of industry professionals. This non-paid short-term program offers a unique experience to individuals interested in a Green Industry career. This one-day to one-week volunteer program offers a "job shadowing" opportunity to observe our company and its employees. An individual gains hands-on experience working with our professionals, investigating the Industry, and experiencing a typical day on the job. It helps individuals to identify and clarify personal career goals and objectives, and allows us an opportunity to evaluate interests, skills and leadership potential as a prospective employee. Externships are flexible and depend on the student's and company's schedule.
